As City of Houston Council Member, Stardig devoted her time and talents to the citizens of Houston. She had served as the City of Houston Public Safety and Homeland Security Council Committee Chair as well as Budget and Fiscal Affairs Committee Vice-Chair. She left City Council after serving the maximum number of terms allowed. In fact, she was term limited in almost every leadership position that she’s held.
Stardig was one of the founding board members of the Spring Branch Super Neighborhood and collaborated with others to establish the Spring Branch Management District. Her leadership and passion are evident throughout her career in politics, finance and real estate.
A well-known leader, she has been widely recognized for numerous community improvements, including:

- the distinguished Leon Goldstein Award from Crime-Stoppers of Houston for her work on crime prevention and
